Azure Counseling
Lori Martinez
Counselor, LMHC, LCMHC
Hi! I’m Lori Martinez, LMHC, and it is an honor to assist you in achieving increased well-being. My motto is that every person is significant.. and I’m here to help you in any way I can. I’m a native of North Carolina, and Florida is now my home. I graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 2010 with a Master of Arts in School Counseling and a Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy. I am licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida (#MH 23330) and as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of North Carolina (#8385). I have been in practice for around 14 years. In March 2024 I began offering community mental health counseling services virtually to individuals in both Florida and North Carolina in my private practice; Azure Counseling and Psychotherapy, PLLC. I provide mental health counseling services to adults, youth, and families in both English and Spanish. In the past, I also served as a school counselor in North Carolina public schools and later as a mental health program specialist for students with special needs. I offer counseling services primarily from a person-centered approach. My goal is to support each person in attaining greater self-acceptance, personal growth, goal-setting, and achievement through a counseling relationship based on empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. I strive to listen non-judgmentally, communicate acceptance, and model genuineness through the counseling relationship. Though my primary counseling approach is per- son-centered, I incorporate techniques eclectically from a variety of counseling models, such as cognitive-behavioral, narrative, Motivational Interviewing, Gestalt, family systems, and solution-focused brief therapy, among others. In my practice, I offer regularly-scheduled, ongoing counseling services to individuals and families based on diagnostic need and treatment planning. In my spare time I enjoy shell-finding, scuba, studying Thai, and being with family.

Jilian Sansone
Therapist, LMHC
Jilian is a passionate licensed mental health counselor specializing in trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy. Jilian has a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University and she is trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and the Gottman Method. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families - identifying each person’s unique resilience. Jilian takes pride in providing her clients with empathy, creativity, cultural sensitivity, and ethical practice. While Jilian brings her knowledge of intergenerational trauma, the brain-body connection, and family systems, she knows her clients also hold power as the experts of their own experience.
