Naples Pride Mission: To unite and empower the LGBTQ+ community of SWFL, to support, educate and foster social change and equality for all.
NAPLES PRIDE AREAS OF SUPPORT
Counseling
We will offer resources for coping skills development, bullying, family integration, and parent support through private services, peer to peer support, support groups, Big Brother-Big Sister program, and Hot-Line access.
Fundraising
To ensure sustainability for the emergency fund for years to come, our fundraising efforts will include an annual membership to Naples Pride, recurring monthly donations, corporate sponsorship and various yearly fundraising events,
Wellness
Form a network of LGBTQ friendly individual counselors, therapists and healthcare providers that would offer assistance either free or on a pay scale basis for HIV/STI - Testing, counseling, guidance for HRT and other health issues. For ex. Mc Gregor Clinic, Planned Parenthood, Aim Medical, Hazelden, etc.
Housing
If housing is an issue and friends and family are not an option, our goal is to assist through networking with the local government, charities like Youth Haven, the Women’s Shelter, and local hotels to provide temporary housing.
Employment
Identify LGBTQ friendly employers, and provide links to job postings on our website. Organize
employment workshops oriented towards the LGBTQ community.
Legal
Form a network of LGBTQ friendly legal resources through local attorneys and Legal Aid.
Advocacy
Our goal is to introduce and help pass local ordinances that include protection for everyone regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Our outreach efforts will include educational workshops for groups, businesses and all those that wish to learn more about the LGBTQ people and the issues
they are faced with.
Social Activities
Thru social activities our goal is to bring the LGBTQ community out of the shadow, help them feel more comfortable with who they are and help them find people that share the same values.
Resources
Our goal is to compile a list of local LGBTQ friendly businesses and to create a general resources information page to provide links to local, state and national organizations that can assist with various issues.
